More Mistrust in Their Motives

The Times Morning Brief says: Separately,  the Trump administration is  requiring states to submit the personal data  of vaccine recipients, raising alarms among state officials who fear that a federal vaccine registry could be misused. No kidding! The federal government is always guilty of overreach. More unrestrained power is always their goal. Now, do you want the vaccine now that you know the feds are going to misuse the data? After all, isn't there enough of your personal data floating around the Internet?

Trust in the Government

From the FFF blog : One certain legacy of the war in Iraq is that American political and military leaders can no longer be believed or trusted. --   Chalmers Johnson ,  The Sorrows of Empire  [2004] How true, especially now.

The overreaching federal government

The Tenth Amendment Center had this quote in a recent newsletter: Richard Henry Lee, in a letter to Samuel Adams on Oct. 5, 1787, might have the best view of the long-term problems we're facing: “I suppose my dear Sir, that the good people of the U. States in their late generous contest, contended for free government in the fullest, clearest, and strongest sense. That they had no idea of being brought under despotic rule under the notion of "Strong government," or in form of  elective despotism: Chains being still Chains, whether made of gold or iron .” Well put .

Trump’s Reign Appears To Be Over

Well, there’s more depraved machinations by the Trump machine and the rest of the Republicans to subvert the will of the people. It’s not bad enough that there was a sizable quantity of ghost registrations by Republican voters, but the Republicans are continuing their false claims of vote fraud. I guess vote fraud only occurs when you vote for someone that’s not Republican.  As if the Federal government can tell the states how to run their elections. Just another case of unConstitutional overreach. The founders are undoubtedly spinning in their graves. I’m expecting the Supreme Court to throw another election, like they did it 2000. It’s time to elect the members of the Supreme Court before they throw another unConstitutional election. The Supreme Court is made up of corrupt, unAmerican, greedy, bought and paid for lawyers with no morals except to pay off their handlers.

CapitalOne provides misleading information on their website

Image
Well, this time, I have new info about dishonest corporations. I went on the CapitalOne website to make a payment on my credit card. As you can see, the date of the transaction is 11/8 and the webpage clearly states my payment is not due until tomorrow, 11/9 at 8 pm ET. Look further down the page and see that they’ve charged me a late fee. And in a really small typeface, they give the due date as 11/7. I called CapitalOne and they insisted that the due date was 11/7. They finally relented and credited me back the $27 late fee after a 17 minute phone call. And they refused to take responsibility for the bogus information on their website, that’s what got me pissed off. CapitalOne is like most large corporations, unethical.

Revisionist “libertarians”

Image
From a twitter feed: Fake libertarians are for the most part really subversives that believe the Republicans can do no wrong.  It’s time to defund the government which seeks to disenfranchise the voters in this banana republic.  Update: I see that Google decreased the resolution of the picture to the point it was unreadable, so here are the relevant posts: Tweet See new Tweets Conversation Gunsgalore @Gunsgalore2 #MoscowMitch is the one packing the court. Or do you deny that? The only work the Senate does is packing the courts with crooked, extremist, politically connected lawyers. Impeach Kavanaugh. Quote Tweet Raquelley Rinelly @Rachelleyelly · 7h Stoping changing the definitions of packing the courts. Filling vacancies is NOT packing the courts. Adding seats IS packing the courts. Trump is more and more unhinged

The New York Times said: As he struggles to regain momentum  in the face of Biden’s lead in the polls, Trump has not exactly been modulating his tone in an effort to reach moderate voters. Yesterday  he complained that people were “tired” of hearing  about the coronavirus pandemic, and called Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, “a disaster.” Trump is more and more desperate to appeal to his base of the depraved. Fauci is infinitely more believable than Trump. All things out of Trump’s mouth are disingenuous and outright lies. Does he ever tell the truth?  And Atlas is another professional liar. Everything he says is an utter fabrication. He spouts studies which support his warped, distorted mind, when the study’s conclusions are just the opposite. His latest distortion cited a study from 2015, hey, why not cite a study from the 1920s? The study itself had no control group, so the conclusions it came to aren’t valid. Which isn’t surpri...

Time for Trump to Pardon More Criminals

The New York Times said 4. The U.S. indicted Russian officers over major cyberattacks worldwide. The six military intelligence officers were charged in connection with  hacks on the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea and 2017 elections in France , as well as one aimed at destabilizing Ukraine that was blamed for billions of dollars in damage. Time for Trump, the Russian asset, to pardon more people. Nothing like being Putin’s tool. Is Putin the guy who arranged Trumps $421 million debt?

The Orange Nazi’s treatment

The New York Times said: President Trump  spent  three days in the hospital . He arrived and left by helicopter. And he received multiple  coronavirus  tests, oxygen, steroids and an experimental antibody treatment. For someone who isn’t president, that would cost more than $100,000 in the American health system. Patients could face significant surprise bills and medical debt even after health insurance paid its share. And further went on to say Mr. Trump did not have to worry about the costs of his care, which are covered by the federal government. Most Americans, including many who carry health coverage,  do worry  about receiving medical care they cannot afford. Nice to know the American public gets to foot the bill for yet another Trump fuckup.

The Supreme Court

Well, The Tenth Amendment Center in a 9/21 newsletter has this to say: No sane political system vests so much power in nine politically-connected lawyers. It also said: We can't say we weren't warned - here's how Thomas Jefferson put it in an 1820 letter to William Charles Jarvis: "you seem to consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions: a very dangerous doctrine indeed and one which would place us under the despotism of an Oligarchy." He couldn't have been more right - or even prophetic. Enough said.

Debate, What Debate?

The scam debate occurred, while real Americans didn’t watch it because it excluded two candidates that should have also appeared. Its the same as the scam “polls” which exclude everyone that’s running except for the Democrats and Republicans. Maybe the lack of diversity is the reason that 40% of registered voters don’t vote. After all the Ds and Rs are both fielding right wing authoritarian candidates. I mean Biden and Harris are both from the law and order, right wing, extremist wing of the Democratic Party. Calling them Democtrats is like calling Hitler a Democrat.  A vote for the lesser of two evils is still unrepentantly evil.

Cox Screws up again

Well, Cox had its ever constant outages again. This time the internet went out around 1:20 am on 9/29 and wasn’t restored until 9:40 pm, also on the twenty ninth. For those counting, i figure the outage lasted 20 hours and 20 minutes. And of course, i had to reboot my cable modem, just because their system is an abomination. Nothing like the lack of service to make you wish for a backup internet service. And all Cox wants to do is upsell you to more no guarantee internet. Theres a company in Vegas called LV.net that I’m going to have to check out. Its claim to fame is that they use microwave transmission to get the internet to your premises.  Considering the fact that Cox claims the fiber cuts they suffer are “out if their control”, its time to get a provider that doesn’t always pass the buck. After all, they insist you pay your bill, no matter if they don’t provide any reliable, consistent service.

Fitbit Strikes Out Again

In the latest On Tech newsletter by the New York Times, it says in part: Health data isn’t always useful:  Is it useful for people to regularly measure their blood oxygen saturation — a feature new to the Apple Watch and in some other smart watches?  Probably not for most healthy people , my colleague Brian X. Chen wrote after asking medical experts.  I’ll say. On the Fitbit Versa, the data they collect to come up with your SPO2 is faulty, just like counting your arm swings to calculate the amount you step. I can’t even say it’s close. The step count is invariably low by 30-40% and the specific oxygen level is off by several percentage points.  I have a dedicated, reasonably accurate oxymeter that has an app which passes the information to the Apple Health app automatically. It measures my SPO2 usually at 98-99%. The Fitbit watch face measures 91-93%. This difference is sizable, and dangerous to give out. The site that it takes the measurements, your wrist is n...

Shitty New Blogger Interface

Blogger had a shitty new interface that i tried out months ago and went back to the old interface. Only today’s guardians of the internet would spin a decrease in features into some kind of progress. You SUCK Google. I used to get stats so i could see the readership that i get. Now i get information about the latest post and almost no additional information. Considering that i used to get about 10-20 different metrics, the only way you could justify calling the new interface “progress” is that you’re delusional.

Shitbit Versa-another rant

Well, I’ve once again been screwed by my fucking Fitbit Versa. The god forsaken thing now won’t charge uless you do incantations to the devil. Eighteen hours and four attempts to get it to charge this time. So now you can’t even track your sleep patterns. So now its down to a single function watch, tracking your “steps”. Even that is so inaccurate as to be laughable. Most of today it was only recording approximately one third of my steps as recorded by the Pacer app on my iPhone. And even that is only accurate to a degree. Mostly Pacer records 85-90% of real steps.  Its a watch, right? Well you have to bang on it so much to get the display to wake that it’s easier to reach for your phone to find out what time it is. DON’T BUY THIS WATCH UNLESS YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A $250 DECORATION.  </rant>

National Catholic Prayer Breakfast and the Catholic Church

Image
The National Catholic Prayer Breakfast is a fascist organization, which seems to fit well with Catholic Church hierarchy, which is corrupt like most centers of power. I mean, how many times do sexual and child abuse charges get swept under the carpet? And it’s been going on for several decades. The Catholic Church hierarchy needs to pay attention to the Bible, especially Matthew 6:24. They’ve definitely chosen Mammon as their guiding principle. This is (in part) what Wikipedia has to say about the organization: President  George W. Bush  addresses the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., April 13, 2007. The  National Catholic Prayer Breakfast  is an annual event that takes place in Washington, D.C. It was created in response to Pope  John Paul II 's call for a new evangelization. History [ edit ] It was established in 2004 and its "founding circle" members included  Joseph Cella ,  Leonard Leo , and  Rick Santo...

America as Shithole country

So, a large proportion of the American public are certifiably insane. According to the New York Times Evening Brief: With eight weeks to go until Election Day, 37 percent of registered voters say Mr. Trump has done a good job handling the pandemic, and 56 percent say he has done a bad job, according to  a new poll from Monmouth University . Only insane people would find Trump is doing a good job of anything except using the job of President to line his own pockets with criminally obtained funds. It seems every day we get another lesson on how corrupt Donnie boy is. His delusional behavior is getting more and more bizarre. And Barr, the President’s own lapdog, has no problem using government funds for Donnie boy’s private enrichment. Treason is the only answer. Vlad Putin is laughing his ass off. And America slides further into the Shithole country classification.

Chaos in AmeriKKKa

From the Thursday Morning Brief from the New York Times (not to be confused with right wing pseudo news): What political analysts are saying: “America right now has: deadly pandemic, massive unemployment and recession, schools unable to open, protests over racial injustice, a killer hurricane bearing down on the South… And I am watching Mike Pence talk about how bad things would be in Joe Biden’s America,”  The New Yorker’s Susan Glasser  wrote. Ramesh Ponnuru of National Review : “The most consistent message of tonight is that Trump is warm and caring, despite what you may think. I can see his aides looking at the polls and saying, We’ve got to improve his numbers on this.” The only people that don’t think times are dire are the Pollyanna types that inhabit Trump’s pseudoscience, fact-free universe. Those people are truly delusional and should be sedated so as not to harm themselves or others. And deranged people certainly should not be allowed to vo...
