COVID-19 testing disaster

So, according to the https://www.apple.com/covid19 website:

Testing is limited-availability across the country and is currently being prioritized for healthcare workers, emergency medical service providers, police, and other essential workers, so please consult your doctor for availability in your local area

 So, in other words, they’re not testing practically anyone. Though, that’s not surprising. In Nevada, they’ve tested 6 tenths of one percent of the population. Across the US as a whole. The tests cover 1/315 of the population. So the numbers they’re reporting are vastly understated. Because they’re testing almost nobody.

 And to boot, the CDC website for COVID-19 https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html , is dangerously incomplete, listing almost none of the symptoms. So many more carriers are out still walking around, spreading disease and destruction. Way to go Trump. He wants credit for everything, let it take him to Hell.

CapitalOne provides misleading information on their website

 Well, this time, I have new info about dishonest corporations. I went on the CapitalOne website to make a payment on my credit card. As you can see, the date of the transaction is 11/8 and the webpage clearly states my payment is not due until tomorrow, 11/9 at 8 pm ET. Look further down the page and see that they’ve charged me a late fee. And in a really small typeface, they give the due date as 11/7. I called CapitalOne and they insisted that the due date was 11/7. They finally relented and credited me back the $27 late fee after a 17 minute phone call. And they refused to take responsibility for the bogus information on their website, that’s what got me pissed off. CapitalOne is like most large corporations, unethical.

 According to the Wall Street Journal: Fox’s Dobbs, Bartiromo and Pirro Ask Court to Dismiss Defamation Suit Cable-news hosts say they were covering and commenting on newsworthy claims Why do fake journalists resort to lies and other "alternative facts" when they should provably know the false narrative is only their attempt to placate their radical audience? The only thing the far right wing media knows to do is to deflect blame. So much for personal responsibility that the far right espouses. The far right never accepts responsibility, it only demands others to follow the rules they set.

Officially Hot

 Well, it’s officially hot here in Las Vegas. I was sitting outside reading a geek book on my ipad and the ipad gave up the ghost. The screen showed some graphic and said the ipad had to cool down before it could be used more. The thermometer says its 112 at 2 pm. I guess its time to revert to physical books, at least they don’t overheat at temperatues seen here in Vegas.
