OfficeDepot is Evil
Well, another company caught with their pants down, how surprising. I order some office supplies, not paper towels or cleaning supplies. The first warning shot was that I couldn't choose pick up at store, the only option was delivery. I chose the supplies and checked out. They said one day delivery. Ok, not bad service so far. Come delivery day, I get an email saying that the ordered was delivered. This was 12:25 pm. I look around my property and no package. Check my security cameras and there was no activity on them. I wait until 4:00 pm to call customer service. I wait to speak to someone for about 55 minutes. The woman that answered the phone was unhelpful to rude. Said that the delivery service still had 10 minutes to deliver the package, and that I'd have to call back after the package was late. This was 10 minutes. Ten fucking minutes, when the web site said my package was delivered. The agent said that you can't trust the delivery service to truthfully state whether the package was delivered. Her manner said to me that OfficeDepot doesn't give a shit about their customers, so I hung up on her when she was giving her "we're not responsible" spiels.
I needed the supplies I ordered, so I drove to the OfficeDepot that I usually go to, hoping to get some service. After talking to a couple of employees outside the store, the manager said he would sell me the supplies I ordered, paying for them again. Some of the weren't available, and the quantities weren't what I ordered, but the articles were priced 25% to almost 50% higher. Ah, supply and demand at work. Pretty tough to work without tools.
Here is it the next day, and I checked the OfficeDepot website for my order status. It still says delivered. So I click on the customer service text link and get sent to this SMS service. Send a text, get a message back that "agents are currently unavailable due to technical difficulties". I started texting the same message at 12:24pm, it is now 4:00pm and I'm still getting the same reply. So, they not only don't care about their customers, but they're incompetent to boot.
Saga to be continued...
